January
It's been a little while since I sent out a brief update
on all things art with Randy.
First off Happy New Year! Hope yours is starting off well
and cheery, with love, family, friends, and at least one thing
that caught you off guard and made you question the order
of the world -- even for a second.
So, only a few things to report:
1) I finished up a 2-month show at a restaurant in San Rafael,
which was good and weird at the same time. San Rafael is in
Marin of the Bay Area, filled with good-meaning yet slightly
off-centered older hippies. I actually gave a 20-minute talk
at the restaurant about my stuff. That was weird.
2) I've finished 2 more needlepoints in the past 4 months.
Only one is on my site, on the gallery main page: Gallery.
I've been messing around with space, dimension, and perspective
lately. The latest
one is a self-portrait and has a red/black checkerboard
floor. Always wanted one of those.
3) My biggest and most ambitious project to date! I'm working
on a 100-piece
project: one 6ftx6ft painting along with 99 8"x10" panels.
Not only that, but I'm documenting my progress so you can
keep up with me in real time, see what I'm doing as long as
I don't slack too hard.
That's all for now.
Go 2004! Go go go!
Randy
